Blaze Stay Hot, Beat Giants, 8-1
|
Bakersfield Blaze starter Spenser Lawson had all his pitches working at Jim Perry Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Bakersfield win over the San Jose Giants. The win takes Bakersfield to 7-2.
The Blaze got a big at-bat from designated hitter Cameron Meck. For the game, Meck was 1 for 1 with a triple. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Bakersfield a 1-0 lead.
When asked about his performance after the game, Lawson said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
