Lancaster center fielder Michael Cobian had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Sonoma at Bright House Field. Cobian hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was Sonoma reliever Rafael Diaz, now 1-0. The loser was Eduardo Guerra. With the loss, Lancaster sinks to 6-4.
Tavaris Ayotte had a big 2-run double for the Stompers in the bottom of the second inning. With Sonoma leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Eduardo Guerra and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stompers ahead, 4-1.
"We were the better team," crowed Ayotte.
