Virginia Beach Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
A good performance from first baseman Eli Cugno helped the Virginia Beach Mariners defeat the Florida Fire Frogs, 9-7. Cugno was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Mariners. At 50-40, the Mariners are currently 4th in the East Coast League Mideast Division.

The decisive blow was delivered by Kendry Guillen in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Andreas Williams to win the game for Virginia Beach. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Guillen said in his postgame press conference.
