No one was more impactful than Chris Archer in the 11-4 Lynchburg win over Hudson Valley. Archer belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Hillcats raised their record to 49-43.

Lynchburg used a clutch at-bat from Rene Mendoza to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Hillcats ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Mendoza told the Lynchburg Observer.
