Mudcats Suffer 12-0 Drubbing
|
The Hudson Valley Renegades met little resistance from the Carolina Mudcats, beating them 12-0 at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Phillip Villarreal led the way. He was 2-2 with a home run, a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2 for Hudson Valley. Eric Stodola, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-3. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Hudson Valley now has a 3-game win streak.
Hector Raya hit a 2-run double off Jorge Ramos in the bottom of the second, which put the Renegades in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Raya had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
