Victors Again, Charlotte Win Streak at 8
|
Nathaniel Potier pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Lakeland Flying Tigers, despite Potier's fine outing, dropped a 3-0 decision to the Charlotte Stone Crabs at Joker Marchant Stadium. The triumph puts Charlotte at 48-33 for the season.
Charlotte used a clutch at-bat from Jon Bryant to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stone Crabs ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I like our clubhouse vibe," said Charlotte manager Omar Garcia.
