The Charlotte Stone Crabs beat the St. Lucie Mets, 7-4, at Charlotte Sports Park. Billy Ray Swiatek went 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 23-year old center fielder was a menace to St. Lucie all day. The winner in relief was Juan Alfaro. He is now 2-1. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Picking up his 19th save was fireballing right-hander Jonah Hopkins.

The Stone Crabs got a big at-bat from center fielder Prescott Brittain. For the game, Brittain was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season gave Charlotte a 3-1 lead.
