Oxford Bats Cold in 6-0 Loss
|
Charlotte Stone Crabs pitcher Tomás Morales was in fine form, leading his team past the Oxford Owls, 6-0. Erjan Bouma recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 1 for 1. The Stone Crabs have a winning streak of 5 games.
Prescott Brittain had a big 2-run double for the Stone Crabs in the bottom of the first inning. With Charlotte leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Alex Weyman and swatted a double to left. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stone Crabs ahead, 3-0.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Morales told the Charlotte Gazette.
