Owls Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Stone Crabs

The outcome was not decided until the very end at Charlotte Sports Park.
Charlotte starter Hunter Wallace pitched well against the Oxford Owls at Charlotte Sports Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3, in 10 innings. Charlotte reliever Jonah Hopkins was the winner. His record is now 5-2. Consuelo Saldivar took the loss.
Charlotte got a knockout punch from Hunter Pipkins. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Oxford manager Yasel Pimentel.
The 6th-place Owls have dropped 5 straight games.
