The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The St. Lucie Mets got production from their entire lineup in an easy 15-3 win over the Lynchburg Hillcats. Doing his part was center fielder Virgil Stalling. Stalling, who is tied for 9th in the ECL with a .891 OPS, went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. After today's action, St. Lucie sits at 47-30, while Lynchburg falls to 38-39.

St. Lucie second baseman Heath Richards contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 65th hit of the season and put the Mets ahead, 4-2.

"No complaints from me," said Mets manager Wendell Pratt. "I like what I saw out there."
