The Flying Tigers grabbed a win, 5-4, at Joker Marchant Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Lynchburg pitcher Alfredo Olmedo. Olmedo went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Elias Valverde recorded the save for Lakeland, his 6th of the season. The triumph makes Lakeland 26-49.

Lakeland took a 5-4 lead on Oscar Soto's 10th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Soto hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Lynchburg pitcher Curt Love visibly frustrated.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Lynchburg manager Antonio Molina said, following the tough loss.
