Loss to Owls Extends Tampa Losing Streak
|
Oxford pitcher Christian Ulle had a large part in his team beating the Tampa Tarpons, 6-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Oxford now has a record of 38-38 with the win.
Mason Brown had a big 2-run home run for the Owls in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Oxford leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Orlando Galvis and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Owls on top, 4-0.
"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Ulle.
