Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Blue Jays
|
The 5-3 Dunedin win over Carolina was due largely to Bobby Bise. The Blue Jays left fielder was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Percy Brosz. He is now 2-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Dunedin is now 43-29, while Carolina is 30-42.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Dunedin trailing 3-2, Bise hit a changeup from Desmond Lockhart for a 3-run home run, giving the Blue Jays the walk-off win.
"Winning is not something we take for granted," Bise said.
