Marauders Win, 2-1, Versus Oxford
|
The Bradenton Marauders relied on a great performance from Tomas Saucedo, who is tied for 3rd in the ECL with a 1.05 WHIP, to beat the Oxford Owls, 2-1, in 13 innings at LECOM Park. Ezra Hansen was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Lorenzo Riggie. Bradenton's record now stands at 41-18, placing them first in the East Coast League Florida Division.
The Marauders got a clutch hit from catcher Eli Templeton. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Marauders.
"Tomas made the big pitches when he needed to," said Bradenton manager Sean Grimmett.
