Marauders Knock Off Dash, 5-3
|
Bradenton center fielder Tracy Dyer had a 4-RBI game, which proved instrumental in his team beating the Winston-Salem Dash, 5-3. Dyer picked up 2 singles and 1 double in the ballgame. Lamarr Johnson was credited with the save for Bradenton, his 1st of the season. Bradenton's record now stands at 23-33, placing them last in the East Coast League Florida Division.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the seventh when Dyer, who is tied for 4th in the ECL in triples with 4, hit a bases-clearing double. It propelled the Marauders into the lead, 5-3.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Dyer told the Bradenton Citizen. "Whatever it takes."
