In a tension-filled contest between the Bradenton Marauders and the Lakeland Flying Tigers, pitcher Collin Gammons was superb. The Bradenton right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. In 6.2 innings, Gammons surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Sebastian McLeod nailed down the save.

J.S. Boudreau had a big run-scoring double for the Marauders in the bottom of the third inning. With Bradenton leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Ben Knox, who is tied for 10th in the ECL in strikeouts with 57, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Marauders ahead, 2-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Boudreau said after the game.

The Marauders improved their record to 35-15 by beating Lakeland.
