Dash Stick Mariners with 5-4 Loss
The Winston-Salem Dash topped the Virginia Beach Mariners, 5-4, in East Coast League action at BB&T Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Winston-Salem second baseman Ian Clark. The second-place Dash lifted their record to 30-21.

Clark had a timely hit for Winston-Salem in the bottom of the seventh. With Virginia Beach trailing 4-2, he turned a 2-0 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Winston-Salem.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Clark said.
