The Winston-Salem Dash weathered an outstanding game by Virginia Beach designated hitter Lyndon Reyes to topple the Mariners, 5-4. Reyes was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. With the win over Virginia Beach, the Dash improved to 31-18.

Kindle Turney was the walk-off hero for Winston-Salem. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dash right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It was bedlam at the end," Turney said.
