Winston-Salem Dash starter Thomas Partin worked his magic, to help his team defeat the St. Lucie Mets, 3-1. The winner was Partin. He threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Lincoln Mathews. Mitch Delion earned the save for Winston-Salem, his 13th of the year.
Lewis Brisson, who is tied for 6th in the ECL in runs scored with 33, helped out the Winston-Salem cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
"Tough loss," said St. Lucie manager Mitch Szarek. "But we'll rebound from it."
The Dash now have a record of 29-19.
