The first-place Hudson Valley Renegades took on the Traverse City Pit Spitters in front of a spirited crowd.

Dawson Ring was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at George M. Steinbrenner Field. In fact, the Hudson Valley Renegades left-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-0 victory over the Traverse City Pit Spitters. Alexander Van de Walker locked down his 5th save.

Ring, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 2 hits over 7 innings for the Renegades. For the most part, Traverse City hitters were simply overmatched.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Ring after the game.

The Renegades lead the East Coast League Mideast Division by 4½ games.
