In a tight contest at BB&T Ballpark, the Winston-Salem Dash edged the St. Lucie Mets by the score of 7-6. Winston-Salem pinch hitter John Sticka, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Winston-Salem reliever Bryant Hodge picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Wes Stinson was saddled with the loss. Winston-Salem is in second place in the East Coast League Mideast Division with a record of 22-14.

Carlyle Mara was the walk-off hero for Winston-Salem. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dash designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Mara described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
