Red Sox Sink Marauders, 9-1
|
The Bradenton Marauders had their hands full with Salem Red Sox starter Abe McDaniel, who frustrated Bradenton hitters while leading Salem to a comfortable, 9-1 win. The 4th-place Red Sox have won 4 in a row.
In the top of the third, the Red Sox took the lead, 2-0, when 22-year old first baseman Garry Watson hit a sacrifice fly.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," McDaniel told the Salem Chronicle.
