Santana Stars in 8-4 Marauders Win
|
Led by 21-year-old Carlos Santana, the Bradenton Marauders knocked off the St. Lucie Mets, 8-4. Santana went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Marauders. Spencer Pinker was credited with the save for Bradenton, his 1st of the season. The win puts the Marauders at 15-16, while the Mets drop to 15-16.
Bradenton used the hitting of Sireno Estevez to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Marauders on top, 8-4. For the game, Estevez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Bradenton manager Mike Victorino.
