Despite a great performance by Hudson Valley designated hitter Dean Shaw, the Oxford Owls defeated the Renegades by the score of 9-4 at Ballpark of Oxford. Shaw went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2. The win leaves Oxford with a record of 3-5.

Elijah Christopher had a big 2-run home run for the Owls in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Oxford trailing 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Gianni Wang and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Owls on top, 2-1.
