Clippers Show Moxy in 4-3 Win

Recreation Park was the site of quite a ballgame.
Riverside wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Michael Schmidt, falling to the Martinez Clippers, 4-3. Schmidt threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Martinez reliever Jax Beacham was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Caden Ritz.
The decisive blow was delivered by Condel Ramírez in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 19-year old left-handed pitcher Caden Ritz to win the game for Martinez. The home crowd went nuts.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Ramírez said.
The win makes Martinez 63-71.
