Cruisers Suffer 2-1 Loss to Blaze
Bakersfield right-hander Jonah Pierce helped his team edge Santa Cruz by the score of 2-1. Pierce kept the opposing lineup in check. Shawn Murphy was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Antwan Edwards. Bakersfield, at 65-66, holds down 6th place in the California League South Division.
