Modesto Beats High Desert, 6-3
|
Modesto right-hander Tom Neace pitched his team to victory over the High Desert Mavericks at John Thurman Field. The final score was 6-3. The win makes Modesto 83-46.
Modesto took a 6-3 lead on Diego Gonzáles's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Gonzáles hit in the bottom of the eighth, left High Desert pitcher Urban Caldwell visibly frustrated.
Said Modesto manager Mark Pollack: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
