Downward Spiral Continues for Pittsburg
The losses keep piling up for the Pittsburg Diamonds.

The High Desert Mavericks downed the Pittsburg Diamonds, 6-5, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Nicholas Traylor led the way, going 1-for-3 for High Desert. Ulisses Salazar picked up the save, his 29th.

With High Desert leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Traylor hit a fastball from Gilbert Guevara for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Mavericks ahead, 5-0.

"We've hit a lull," said Pittsburg manager Chris Carpenter.

Now 17-108, Pittsburg has dropped 32 games in a row.
