The bat of Leonardo Peralta helped the Bakersfield Blaze top the Pittsburg Diamonds, 10-2. Peralta was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Bakersfield. Jordan Pasqual, who leads the CAL in wins with 14, picked up the win in relief. Steve Cheney took the loss for Pittsburg. The slumping Diamonds have lost 32 straight.

Early in the game, Peralta had a 2-run double for Bakersfield. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Blaze on top, 3-1.

"Losing feels worse," said Pittsburg manager Joe Reyes, "than winning feels good."
