Red Wave Suffer 3-0 Home Defeat
|
In a low-scoring affair between the San Jose Giants and the Riverside Red Wave, pitcher Trevor Jackson was the difference between victory and defeat. The San Jose right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Giants win. The Giants now have a record of 62-59 with the win over Riverside.
With two out in the top of the first, Bennett Gordon put San Jose in front, 2-0, with a run-scoring single. The Giants went on to win the ballgame.
"We were trying to do a difficult thing -- winning a game without scoring," said Riverside manager Ricky Mendoza. "That's not going to work out."
