Stampede Rock Red Wave, 18-3
|
The San Bernardino Stampede topped the Riverside Red Wave by the score of 18-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Cane Huber. Huber went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 8 runs and scored twice for the Stampede on the day. Graciano Pimenta snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits. He's now 4-3 on the season. The 8th-place Stampede now have a win-loss record of 51-69.
With San Bernardino leading 14-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Huber came up to bat against Riverside pitcher Eli Zunino. Huber hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 15th home run of the season put the Stampede on top, 18-1.
"We poured it on tonight," said Huber.
