The Stockton Ports defeated the Lake Elsinore Storm, 6-3, at Banner Island Ballpark. Stockton second baseman Boris Braddock had a superb performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Noel Vidal, 3-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. Earning his 14th save of the year was Jesse Lawrence.
Braddock had a key at-bat for Stockton early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and gave Stockton an early 3-0 lead.
"Winning never gets old," said Braddock.
After today's action, Stockton sits at 59-61, while Lake Elsinore falls to 55-65.
