Clippers Rally For Late Win Over Red Wave
Thanks in large part to right fielder Ed Stearns, the Martinez Clippers beat the Riverside Red Wave, 9-7. Stearns was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Turner Garcia notched his 6th save in 9 chances. The Clippers improved to a lofty 86-33.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Clippers grabbed the lead when Stearns hit his 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Jerónimo Chacon made it 9-7, Martinez.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Stearns.
