The Santa Cruz Cruisers racked up a win at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, bumping off the Pittsburg Diamonds, 11-3, in 10 innings. Lee Atkin, who started for Santa Cruz, pitched effectively for his team. The losses continue to mount for Pittsburg, which has now dropped 8 in a row.

Gerald Lucenti was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Santa Cruz. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth.
