Wet weather did not postpone the Riverside-Rancho Cucamonga ballgame.

Riverside first baseman Mick Dees had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers, 10-2. Their 41-64 record puts the Red Wave 8th in the California League South Division.

Riverside used a well-timed hit by Daniel Howard to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Red Wave ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

Rancho Cucamonga manager Pierrick Gardella called the blowout loss "ugly."
