Stampede Deal Sonoma 4-0 Defeat
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Starting pitcher Bryson Castner fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the San Bernardino Stampede stymie the Sonoma Stompers, 4-0. The 5th-place Stompers now sit at 62-45.
Cody Geddes had a big 2-run home run for the Stampede in the bottom of the second inning. With San Bernardino leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Tito Metheney and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stampede ahead, 3-0.
"I made good pitches, kept the ball out of the middle of the plate for the most part," said Castner.
