|
Ventura Gulls starter Jacob Lamb worked his magic, as he helped his team defeat the Pittsburg Diamonds, 3-1. In 8 innings, Lamb surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Jonathan Wilson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 20 save opportunities.
In the bottom of the fourth, Will Macie delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Ventura catcher hit a run-scoring single, putting the Gulls in front, 3-1.
