Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Santa Cruz Cruisers and Lancaster JetHawks.

The Santa Cruz Cruisers powered past the Lancaster JetHawks, 8-0, at LoanMart Field. Dylan Schaefer provided some of the pop. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The setback makes Lancaster 48-57.

Kevin Rabel had a big 2-run double for the Cruisers in the bottom of the first inning. With Santa Cruz leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Eduardo Guerra and swatted a double to right. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cruisers ahead, 3-0.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Rabel.
