Popielarz Leads Silverados to Win
|
The timely hitting of Henry Popielarz helped the Napa Silverados down the Riverside Red Wave, 10-1. Popielarz hit 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times for the Silverados. Samuel Spady got the win, improving to 9-3. He held the Red Wave to 1 run on 5 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The Silverados now have a mark of 64-42.
Napa took a 4-1 lead on Popielarz's 22nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Elijah Bousquet in the top of the sixth, propelled Napa to the win.
"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Popielarz.
