Stompers Hand Udder Tuggers 8-0 Loss
|
Sonoma Stompers starter Armand Elliott had all his pitches working at San Manuel Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-0 Sonoma win over the Temecula Udder Tuggers. The Stompers, at 70-34, sit in second place in the California League North Division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jaxson Nace? The Sonoma left fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Stompers on top, 2-0. For the game, Nace had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
Said losing manager Mike Reff: "Give the Stompers credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
