Ports Get Plucky, 8-7 Win Over Rattlers
|
Stockton catcher Connor Fuller had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers, 8-7. J.J. Pritchett, who is tied for 10th in the CAL in holds with 7, was the winner in relief. His record is now 6-1. The losing pitcher was Oscar Ball. Jeff Clark finished to wrap up his 16th save.
Fuller broke a deadlock in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Stockton up, 5-4.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Fuller told the Stockton Daily News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
Stockton goes to 57-46, Rancho Cucamonga to 57-46.
