The Stockton Ports soundly defeated the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers, 14-4, at Banner Island Ballpark, with right fielder Damon Rotondo a major reason why. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for Stockton. The Ports, at 48-53, sit in 6th place in the California League North Division.

Wiley Rivers had a big 2-run home run for the Ports in the bottom of the first inning. With Stockton trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Arnau Viña, who is tied for 9th in the CAL in saves with 14, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Ports on top, 2-1.
