Stampede Suffer 4-0 Setback
|
Martinez Clippers starter Isaiah Charles was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the San Bernardino Stampede, 4-0. The 8th-place Clippers improved to 46-57.
The Clippers got a big at-bat from right fielder Otis Burdick. For the game, Burdick was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Martinez a 1-0 lead.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Burdick.
