Rancho Cucamonga Resolve Tested in 2-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers and the Pittsburg Diamonds, pitcher Jon McNeil was the difference-maker. The Rancho Cucamonga left-hander handcuffed the opposition, to help his team pocket a 2-1 win. After today's action, Rancho Cucamonga sits at 51-41, while Pittsburg falls to 14-78.
Frasquito Peraza was the walk-off hero for Rancho Cucamonga. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rattlers catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Wins don't come easy," Peraza told the Rancho Cucamonga Herald. "They don't just hand them out like lollipops."
