Nosediving Rattlers Lose, 9-1
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers.
Modesto Nuts starter Yudas Colin was dealing, as his team thumped the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers, 9-1. Colin picked up the win for Modesto, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-3.
In the top of the sixth, Modesto first baseman Martin Despagna had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Despagna stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 3-1, Modesto. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
Rancho Cucamonga manager Pierrick Gardella, after yet another defeat, said: "Guys need to step up. Pronto."
The misery never ends for the Rattlers, who've lost 10 in a row.
