The Martinez Clippers defeated the Lake Elsinore Storm, 7-2, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Martinez was led by 22-year old shortstop Avery Wiley, who was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Russ Armstrong got the win, improving to 3-2. He held the Storm to 2 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Russ Stroebel finished the game for Martinez and earned his 1st save.
