Silverados Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally
|
The Napa Silverados knocked off the Lancaster JetHawks, 3-1, in California League action at The Hanger. Napa pitcher and York, Pennsylvania, native Gavin Radcliffe had an outstanding performance. In 7 innings, Radcliffe surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Napa has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Napa used the timely hitting of Santiago Martínez to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Silverados on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Napa skipper Bobby Gomez. "I can't complain."
