Santa Cruz used a superb performance from starting pitcher Dominic Brangan to down the Lake Elsinore Storm, 3-1, in 11 innings. Triston Henschel came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The loss makes Lake Elsinore 23-55.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Elías Gurrola? The 23-year old third baseman Gurrola stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 11th inning to put Santa Cruz up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 6, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Dominic was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Santa Cruz manager Ferdinand Coleman.
