Coffaro 3-for-4 to Fuel Diamonds Offense
|
The Pittsburg Diamonds met little resistance from the Temecula Udder Tuggers, beating them, 11-3, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Lukas Coffaro led the way. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Pittsburg. With the win over Temecula, the Diamonds improved to 12-65.
The Diamonds got a big boost from first baseman E.P. Bright who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Udder Tuggers hurler Wes Gilmore. It was his 6th walk of the season and put Pittsburg on top, 1-0.
"I think it just wasn't our night," said Temecula skipper Richard Ossman.
