The Napa Silverados welcomed the High Desert Mavericks to an night game at Mavericks Stadium.
The Napa Silverados earned a win at Mavericks Stadium, knocking off the High Desert Mavericks, 6-4. On the bump for Napa was right-hander Jace Vincent. He had a starring role in the triumph. Napa goes to 39-41, High Desert to 32-48.
Napa used the timely hitting of Trevor Silvestri to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Silverados on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"They had a good approach," High Desert skipper D.J. Schultheis said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
