Silverados Trip Stompers, 4-3, in Extra Innings
|
The Napa Silverados topped the Sonoma Stompers, 4-3, in California League action at Bright House Field. The standout performance belonged to Napa pitcher and Atlanta, Georgia, native Jimmy Fisher. The win was credited to Dylan Hammond in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Hunter Rodgers took the loss. The Silverados now have a record of 41-30.
Napa used a clutch hit from Elias McClelland to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Silverados ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
"Jimmy was throwing strikes, locating well," said Napa manager Jorge Leston.
